Pre-adulting is where things in life gets serious and everything starts going really fast, you are no longer under any supervision or sheltered by your loved ones such as your family. You are out in the world alone right after the age of 18. The age of 18 is where everything starts to change. At that age, you're exhilerated and wanting to go explore the world, just like a flower bloomed able to see the world for the first time. Every little details excites you, finally off the leash from parents, where wings began to grow and eager to use those wings to fly. At the age of 18, its like a teenager stepping into the world, just like a new character being created in an Massive Multiplayer Online (MMO) game, where you've completed the tutorial stage and you're free to roam the open-world. Facing monsters, high-leveled players, beautiful scenery, wonderful towns. You are struck with awe, everything fascinates you. You want to be this and that, do this and that, own this and that. That's where imagination run wild. You started imagining these things since young, during the tutorial stages. You seen the world from the Internet, you started having perceptions towards this amazing world, you wanted to get out this "tutorial" stage earlier, or even skip this tutorial stage at some point, just to get out and soar your wings. In reality, you have to go through every single level.
Now you've seen plenty of things during the "tutorial" stage. You've set expectations on what you wanted, who you want to be, what you want to do, how you going to achieve it and etc. These imagination runs wild. Especially closing to the stage of premature of freedom, where aging 16-17. You're finally of the hooks when you reach 18, some people don't get off hooks easily but some do. Let's talk about getting off the hooks easily. You parents been guarding you, protecting you for the past 18 years, nourishing you with care and love, guiding you through these "tutorial" stages and finally lets you off the hooks and let your soar your wings.
The public told you to continue studying instead of working, a degree's is a life saving, guaranteed on giving you a job where you constantly get earnings. Ain't that swell? Imagine being in MMO, where you get constant Gold/Money by just performing few tasks/complete few missions? But in order to get these privileges, you need to earn it by putting effort and hardwork, it's not a 2-days job but minimum of 2 years. There's different paths every adventurer takes, some take the safety way, which is getting a degree, landing a job and simple life. Some takes a harder way, building new business on their own, running a company from scratch, taking up father's business or worse of all, started working instantly. The quickest way to earn money is working, you work for it, you get it. Every adventurer sets a different path for themselves. Despite of during younger times, where they set their imagination wild. Everyone got different opinion on how to go through this journey of life. Everyone got different perspective on the pinnacle of life.
Let's talk about the most stable path where majority of the adventurers chooses. Getting a degree and landing a sweet job and boom stable life. Every parents sets a certain goal or aspect of their children. They hope they are able to do well, be successful and grow up being amazing. That's not wrong, every parents wants the best for their child. No matter what, they just wants to see their nurture grows and be someone useful to the society. So, they send their child to top tier universities, college or even overseas burning a big bunch of money just for the best of their child. Some child turned out to be excellent, taking every advantages that their parents set for them, well some don't. Instead of taking advantages their parent gave, they took the worst of all.
Every decision or action determines the course of you life, it's not detrimental that it would destroy your life, but it shapes you as a person. Not mentioning the worse ones of all, drugs/crime/destruction. Reason why this shapes you as a person, you are no longer under any protection from your parents or nurture from your parents. You are your own nurture. You shape your ownself, the people you hang out with, the people that comes into your life or goes from your life. Those people are the ones that's gonna shape you. You parents are your certain people in life that you stick with forever. These experiences you gain throughout the journey is definitely going to broaden your sights. Just like in MMO, if you able to hang with the top players/top guildies/top players, you're going to know more about the game, you're given knowledge or help by them, they are the one nurturing you making you have a deeper understanding towards the game. Given that's lucky. But most of us aren't lucky. We learnt it using the hard way. We have to hit the monsters, exploring towns, clearing dungeons, doing missions and etc ALL BY YOURSELF or with some of your friends that going through the same shit with you, "party". This applies to reality, where you have to go through exam failures, relationship failures, life failures, sickness, hardship and etc all by yourself. Friends are there for you, but who's the one actually facing it, YOU. You're friends are there to either watch you or probably make you go through it quicker.
Nothing in life is a quick pass, there's no VIP PASS like the arcades/theme parks in life. Every fucking bullshit, you have to go through. You don't get to pay-to-win in real life. Some probably yes, but emotional things, you have to go through it all by yourself. There's no highway or quickest way to get through emotional things. That's the reality, that is what going to shape you as a person. The more you face these hurdles, the more you'll mature. Well as for some people, even they faced these hurdles they don't mature from it, because they neglected it and shrugged it off. Mistakes are the one that builds you, failures are the one that shapes you, losses are the one that motivates you. Life's aint easy. If you faced these hurdles earlier, you might mature earlier, you broaden your knowledge earlier, faster than others OR maybe not, you'd end up thinking the negatives. Your parents are the ones that experienced life, they are the ones who been through the game, knows the inside-out of the game. But that's old patch, when you're released from "tutorial", there's a new patch. A whole different game. The idea's same, but its a WHOLE DIFFERENT GAME. Society changes, cultural changes, socials changes and etc.
Adulting is a big word for every person. Some says when you're 18, you are an adult. Some says, you're adult when you been through lots of shit. Some says, you're only adult when you matured. By laws, age of 18 is adult. There's no rules of saying what age is adult. Some even says 30 is an adult age. Therefore, pre-adulting.
